Default Extreme Nerve Sensitivity

Help! My sister has been miserable for 25 years and it is getting more acute!
She has extreme nerve sensitivity to the point she is sensitive to noise, touch, and her life is narrowing her activities. She currently has the sensation of bees in her legs from an "adjustment" her chiropractor made to her knee.
She cannot bend her knee and she thinks she will lose her mobility and she is talking about suicide. I don't know what to suggest- she has gone to many doctors but she is increasingly hesitant to go since they want to poke and touch her which creates other problems. Is there ANYONE out there with these problems???? She can't even open a heavy door or carry more than 5 pounds. I do not live in the same city but talk to her every day. She has been suffering for so long and no diagnosis! Any ideas?????? A concerned sister
