Hi Gayle,

*edit* this device is effective. While it can provide immediate relief for some patients, generally it takes time. If your son has been struggling with RSD for awhile, then it will probably require a series of treatments. The results are cumulative and additive and patients can experience long term relief, just don't give up too soon. If he is using opioids then that will delay the effects. Over time many patients can significantly reduce their need for chronic pain medications. Many people, who have given up hope of ever getting their life back, have really been helped with this device. Good luck and best wishes.
