Frown introduction of self

Hi everyone, My name is Toni I am so happy to of found Neuro talk Im a 54 yr female off work due to several disabilities. after waiting 3 yrs to finally get into a pain mngmt clinic they found a pinched nerve at the c 5-6 the feeling like electrical shock or pins and needles and pain in may back were unbearable I really thought I could no longer live with this pain.
started on 3600mg of neurontin with no change but vision was double and my sodium/potassium level dropped so low I had to be hospitalized on I.V. then started lyrica first dose I noticed a difference. Now they tell mel if I get 30%
relief that I am doing great, ya right so meds now on 120mg cymbalta, lyrica 450mg, tegretal blood pressure meds 40mg oxyneo, 15mg of percoset for break through, and 10% diclofanac cream with freezing compound works wonderfully , flexeral, plus I did 6 wks of exercise for my neck and back thank god this pain doctor does seem to not just listen but hears me. Thank you so much for reading this and I look forward to more correspondence.
Whoops forgot I also have fibromyalgia, and epilepsy.

Toni

Confused Thank you for the welcome does anyone know anything about trigger point injections

Hello again due to the pinched nerve in my neck I am having muscle spasms in my back Im taking flexeral plus oxyneo 40mg day plus oxycodone 5mg for break through pain cymbalta 120mg, lyrica 450mg. Now the pain specialist is talking trigger point injection. This all sounds great except I wont be able to wait a mnth to see him It should be done as soon as possible??? to help the spasm release. It got so bad I was pushing myself against the corner of a wall putting a pressure pt on the area, when I saw my back after a shower I was black blue and yellow I had bruised so bad. Any Information on these injections would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Toni

Default mg neck pain re mri

No I have not had a mri but did have 2 ct scans surgery is not an option. Nerve pain is the worst pain I have ever felt and would not wish this on any one the lyrica really has helped and the cymbalta but ive only been on the cymbalt since Dec 26 2012 from what Ive been told it takes awhile to get the full benefit. The worst now is the pain and spasms.

Default Hi Toni

Hello and welcome to Neruo Talk. You are going to love the people you meet here. Lots of issues going on, and more than compassion too. Good information, and support all along your journey. I am a spine patient too. I had to have the surgery route. Hope you are getting along ok. It is all hard to go through. Glad you found this site. I found it and never left....ginnie

I'm just amazed that I didn't know this kind of pain was out there, and just how debilitating it can be. I think it has taken around 4 yrs to at least get the proper meds to have somewhat of a normal life on some days
