Thumbs Up I am new also

Hello,
My name is Jeff and I have been suffering with neuropathic pain for seven years. When I had good health insurance I had quite a few tests done. Now That I dont have very good health insurance I went to see a neurologist the other day. She was the physician that I saw seven years ago. She thinks my problem lies in my thoracic area seeing that the majority of my symptoms happen in legs. She wrote me up an MRI for that reason. My insurance company had a bird and are trying to deny me that service. They probably will get there way. I wasn't aware until today That there are clinics that just do MRI and ct scans. The price for an MRI in these clinics are $550.00 for my procedure compared to $3900.00 in the hospital facility. She scripted me gabapenten that I currently took my third dose. It seems to be working. I hope! I might just take this gabapentin for a while and see if it helps. I am just afraid that another test might show up negative results. I guess I am just happy that I have some medication that might take some of the pain away. Thanks for listening
