Default New Here

My name is Kailei and I found this site through a google search for chronic pain syndromes. I was recently diagnosed with CRPS/RSD after an injury to my wrist. I have been through multiple procedures inclusive of surgery, at least 13 ganglionic block injections and a rhizotomy. Trying to get a handle on the pain and learning how others with the same illness cope.

I look forward to chatting with everyone on the boards.

Default Hi Kailei

Welcome to Neuro Talk. You did find a great site with some of the most compassionte people I have ever met. I am so sorry you have RSD. Visit the forum on that. I sure do know what it is. I have PN, not as severe as RSD.
I know one treatment that has been used successfully on our service members, and for CPRS. You have to find out who in your area may do this. It is called Ketamine infusions. Some folks have gotten a remission from RSD. The JAMA medical journal has quite a few articles about it. Tampa Bay Hospital in my home state, does do this kind of proceedure. It may be worth it just to investigate a bit. I hope your pain level goes down, and that you have good doctors that help you to control the pain. ginnie
