Red face New person here! Just diagnosed...

Hi! I'm Christina and I was just diagnosed with SPS yesterday the 25th. I got my blood work back and they said I have high levels which diagnosed me with the stiff person syndrome. I'm here to learn more about it , which I know nothing! I currently have MS with no active lesions. Good to be here!

Nice to meet you....my daughter's name is Christina I'm Debi from Georgia. I don't know anything about SPS but I'm glad u found this site. It has helped me more than any of my dr's to understand what's going on and to just vent. I have small fiber neuropathy so I'm usually on the PN site.

I'm sure there will be more people coming behind me that can help you.

Please keep us posted.

Default Hi Christina

I to am new but already I have gotten some real caring answers to questions I asked. Debi from Georgia is a really great person. I don't know how many times I have written to her just to talk. I am sure you will meet many more.

I knew nothing about your issue so I read the link. I hope you find the medical personnel to help you.

So welcome

My wife of 33 years has recently been diagnosed with SPS or Stiff Limb Syndrome. IN a matter of weeks she went from an active woman who lived on a farm and cared and rode 10 horses to basically living in a recliner.
She has gotten some relief from IVIG and bachlafan, but has just been diagnosed with hepatacellular carcinoma (liver tumor that is cancerous).
The nueroligist says it is the wrong kind of cancer to be associated with SPS which leaves me confused. He says he knows of one other patient who had stiff limb syndrome and this type of cancer. When the liver was resectioned and the cancer removed, the stiff limb syndrome disappeared.
He is a prominent neurologist and told us they never figured this out or what the patient actually had. DOes anyone here have any information on this please.
Thank you for your help.
