Default Hello from kimmi

I am hoping that I have found a support group, I have been having a hard time finding anyone who might have sca-5. If I don't find someone with the same diagnosis, than I hope that I find a friend or two or more.... I have always been a worker-I have my dream job up until 2010, where I become unable to work.

I was the director of long-term facility, here in Indiana. I love my co-workers and my residents. I am mostly a positive person and feel that if I stay positive it makes for a better life. I am 48 years young, lol. I have a three adult children, 2 grandson and 2 dogs and 1 maltipoo who runs our house (she is a dog but she acts like a princess) I have fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, neurogenic-cardio syncope. cervical spondylosis, djd.

It took several years to dx with sca-5, signs and systems for me starting like ms, which is what they dx me with in 1999, but did not have brain lesions, so was left wondering, so in 2009, I became very ill, and that is when I finally received my dx.
Unsure what the future brings, I am happy to know that I am not crazy and something really was wrong with me. well I think I cover most of myself-with the exception of my hubby, he has been great, most of the time. It has been hard for me not to work since I have worked for since I have been 16, thank you for taking the time to read this.

Kimmi, just wanted to add my welcome to Neuro Talk!! I had to do some research on your condition and can understand why you were diagnosed with MS. My sweetheart was diagnosed with MS in 1984. We do have a forum for General Health and Rare Disorders...here it the link...http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum2.html for that forum. We have many forum that you might enjoy dropping in on. I wish you well and hope to get to know you better!!
