At the time I was in a mental unit and was there for a month or so and by the time I got out my first check was in the bank. The doctor that was so good to me is deceased now. I have new doctor now but this one is not as helpful to say the least as my first one. I was very, very lucky to have my first doctor. I didn't know it at the time though. I realized just how lucky I was to have my first doc as soon as I started seeing my current doctor. My current doctor acts like he could care less about my benefits as far as ssdi goes. He only worries about our sessions and that's it. I know that is his job but I guess I got spoiled by my first doctor. My current doctor all but says it is up to ssa when it comes to my benefits and he says he leaves that part to them and the applicant (me) which kind of scares me when it comes to review time because I have a scary feeling he will not be careful in how he words things as we all know how a doctor words things can make or break you. That is why I am thinking of getting the back issues added to my disability file. I'm not sure if adding the back problems and pain management for chronic pain would give me piece of mind when it comes to CDR's or not which is why I am asking here. If having the back issues and the fact that I'm under a pain management doc would make my disability case stronger thus having a less chance of ever losing it not to mention fewer CDR's then I will do it but if it will not matter then there is no sense in going through all the trouble of asking my pain doc to get involved. I was hoping that someone had experience at adding other illness' to their file after being approved for benefits so they could say what they did and why. I really miss my first doctor as I know he was willing to go to bat for me at the drop of a hat. I wish he was still alive. Thanks for your response, Rake |
