Frown Hello, Im scared nervous

In Feb 2013 I had my 3rd spinal fusion surgery. It failed.
I have no memory of march or April except for tiny pieces.
I'm trying to make this as short but informational as I can.
I had an MRI DTI done in May. Neurologist says I have brain damage due to lack of oxygen, Oh I also had 3 blood transfusions 2 days post op with BP 65/43 my systolic never above 80 , bp 98/48.
I know have a stuttering speech and hard to get the right words out gets worse when I'm upset or in a lot of pain and also short term memory loss .neurologist said no cure don't know if ill get better, worse or stay the same.
I might also mention that my family has turned away from me
I live alone, I'm married but been separated 2 years. I have no form of transportation except husband to take me to store or appointments, I'm usually alone 24/7 a few days at a time.
I am feeling alone lost scared and not sure where to turn.
did I have a stroke? what caused the lack of oxygen?
I have no answers.
Thank you for taking the time to read this

Default Hello bellakinns

I am very sorry that your surgery failed. Have your doctors given you any reason for lack of O2? I think if I were in your shoes, I would get a copy of all my medical records and start reading them with a fine tooth comb.
I also want to welcome you to Neuro Talk. Many of us come here in a very frightened state, and or facing some serious medical issues. You will never be alone here. After a bit of time, many of the folks here become like a family. This site can help you get through the medical problem, and maybe give you some Ideas on how to help you.
Have you gotten a second opinion for the effects you are feeling?
I am alone too bellakinns, but I don't feel so alone when I am here. I lost a few friends because of my own health conditions. There are people who have never experienced a trauma before, and therefor don't know how to respond to a trauma in another person.
In your case lack of O2 is not something I have heard of before, and the reason why I would seek out the medical records. I hope that in time you get to feeling better, or find a physician better able to address your needs. ginnie

Hello and thank you
I have gotten the records that are free I have 98 pages of doctors and nurses notes that cost 1 dollar a page I am not able to afford they hold keys to a lot of answers I am sure.
the lack of C02 was given to me by the neurologist I am requesting my records from her now, its one of 2 things 1 is I had a stroke at some point, 2) when I had to have the blood transfusions 2 days post op my blood pressure dropped very low 68/45 more then once so my brain wasn't getting blood or oxygen so maybe then I have many unanswered questions. and as far as a second opinion no I have no insurance and cant afford it right now I have been researching my back surgeries I had done and what should of been done. I have also learned from speaking to many people that this surgeon has a very bad reputation and also he did my hospital discharge papers 20 days after I was discharged...Odd huh? but I'm told that's what he does to try and cover his ***.
I am going to seek out therapy I really need it, also I just made an apt to get established with a primary doctor right now that's all I want need and can afford, hopefully they can at least give me something to help with the pain and anxiety.
thank you for your kind words
I know being here will help just being able to speak how I feel
just worried that I wont be able to be on here as much as I want need to be due to my pain. but I'm going to try
