Hi,
I am looking for answers and hope that someone here can steer me in right direction. I am 44 yr old female and have been experiencing heat intolerance, muscle weakness, extreme fatigue and body pain (achilles tendon tightness) for about the last 2 yrs. The weakness has progressed and in August 2013 was diagnosed with primary open angled glaucoma with moderate damage to left eye and early damage to right eye. Since July I have been experiencing dizziness with the severe dizziness the last month. The eye specialist seems to think MS the Neuro seems to think fibromyalgia and chronic migraines. Went to ER today for merry go round dizziness and they did MRI and then radiologist asked for CT both came back neg. (never saw ER doctor again to discuss issues). Left ER with diagnosis of Vertigo. My question is can I have MS without it showing on MRI or CT? Could fibro and chronic migraines cause all this? Feeling very confused......... |

However, there is no single test, by it's self, that will diagnose Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Many conditions/illnesses/diseases have symptoms which are similar or mimic those seen in MS. Blood work as well as other testing needs to be done to rule in/out other causes for someone's symptoms. There is no symptom(s) which are unique to MS. I can tell you that MS will not and does not cause Glaucoma. Information about Glaucoma: http://www.glaucoma.org/glaucoma/types-of-glaucoma.php There are many causes for having Vertigo (yes, vertigo can happen in MS) : http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/diz...SECTION=causes Quote:
