Default 1st encounter with Parkinson's

Hello - New member, 56 year old male, diagnosed with Parkinsons around two months ago.

Trying to find the right dosage of poisons, eh, I mean, medication, to stop the tremors without giving the extras, stuffy head, fatigue, weakness, grogginess...

Currently on 3 x 1mg ropinirole, temazepan to get 5 hours of sleep, 3 months in antibiotics for other issues

Glad to find this forum, don't have many people around to spill/share/commiserate/advise/be advised. (Trying not to overload my wife with worries.)

Trying to get acquainted with this new me, whoever he is...

Rob from North New Jersey, USA

Thank you - Yes, have been reading as much as I can. Feels like the proverbial "drinking from a fire hose"

Default Hi, Rob

I'm from Virginia and I too have been diagnosed with Parkinson's. It can be very scary. There are many opinions about this disease, mine is hopeful that it brings recovery. I liked Don's reply below and agree that we can get better despite what the internet, other folks, or doctors might say. But it ain't easy! I'd love to keep in touch. I am new here too.
