Red face New user with chronic lumbar back pain

Looking for people who are also dealing with debilitating back pain. I am not a surgical candidate and suffer daily. I used to be very active and find it so difficult to just lay around all day. Been fighting this for over a decade and it is getting tough to pretend in public to be coping well. Just looking for a good support group. Not sure if I am posting in the correct forum. If not please advise me where I need to be. Thanks

Get several second opinions before you have surgery---I had 3 "Bulging discs" suffered with them for years only to have surgery in Jan this year to discover my severe sciatic pain was mostly from neuropathy....Have an EMG test before you have surgery...My neurosurgeon knows nothing about neuropathy

good luck

I will look into the posts and links suggested. It's so nice to find like minded ppl who understand what pain does to a person. I am on day 4 after RFA 5 levels and I think it went well. Pain seems to be mostly bruising where needles were positioned for the burns. Hoping for some much needed relief. This is a new Dr. and I am optimistic at this point. Thank you again and where do you go mostly to converse together?
