Smirk I am very new on here!

I am so happy I found this nice forum! I have had neuropathy for the last 5 good years. It has been a BIG struggle. I work very hard, but just last week I gave into a blue plaque. I have had 5 red ones! I am what you call stubborn. I can tell even with my meds I cut down, I am starting to wear down. I just can't !!! I am always the one to support others. I guess that's why I am here.

Default Glad to meet u Coffeelover :)

And good morning from Georgia ! I've only been on here since late Sept but have found these people to be so nice and supportive. And the knowledge they have is more helpful to me than seeing the dr for 10 minutes

And I too was the 'supporter' of family and friends. It has been extremely hard to find a 'new' normal and let people help me. I WANT to be that person again but it's not going to happen. My short story is: Laid off from job of 26 years last Sept......had 'routine' hysterectomy in Oct....In Nov was told I had cancer.....a rare uterine cancer called Serous.....started chemo (taxol/carbo) in Dec...ended in March of this year and BAM.....a month later I could hardly walk. I had to become my own healthcare advocate and finally got a diagnosis of small fiber neuropathy in Sept by way of skin punch biopsy.

So.....pls tell us about yourself !

Hi there, Welcome.

You wrote: "I work very hard, but just last week I gave into a blue plaque. I have had 5 red ones!"

I have absolutely no idea what this means. Can you explain? Thanks much

Oh, I'm Melody by the way. My husband has had neuropathy for 20 years.

Take care, Melody
