Any replys s would be greatly appreciated.
I too have pain in both feet that keeps me from walking very far. I was diagnosed with small fiber neuropathy via skin punch biopsy in Sept of this year. My feet are devoid of A and C fibers. And they tell me now that all I can do is treat the pain. I started on 100 mg of gabapentin 3 times a day in May.....I'm now up to 2700 mg a day. I also take hydrocodone but I think mine is weaker than yours. The neuro asked me on Nov 5th if the gabapentin was helping. I could only say that I still hurt, still unable to grocery shop or clean my house. But....if I went off of it who's to say I would not be laying on the floor in a fetal position thinking I was dying of pain ? My hands started getting worse about 3 weeks ago as well as my legs aching. My symptoms are 24/7....sometimes extremely painful and sometimes just annoying.

My SFN is due to diabetes and chemo treatment with carbo/taxol. My new oncologist wants me to go to the Neuropathy Dept at Emory in Atl but my appointment isn't until March 25, 2014.

Hope this info helps some. I know a lot of people that cannot take gabapentin and are on Lyrica. MrsD recommends Morton's Epson Lotion which I am going to get this weekend. I have swelling also and am hoping this will help.

I'm sure there will be much more knowledgeable people coming behind me to help you out....this site has been wonderful for me and the people are great.
