Default New Symptoms

Hi everyone. I am still new to this site though this is my second post. I have been diagnosed with DDD Cervical spine.Severe spinal stenosis.Severe foraminal stenosis. I have been told due to health coverage changes it will be sometime in June or July before seeing an ortho dr.I am really scared now.My legs are severely stiff when first getting up.Sometimes they get better but not much.Sitting down stiffens them horribly. And now even standing in one position even leaning onto a counter will stiffen them up making walking very hard to do.But no pain. But now at night if I am not careful to let my legs straighten out they lock up on me and in a couple mins will begin to shake.Slowly at first then will shake real hard..I have no control over this and must wait it out.It lasts anywhere from about 30 secs to 3 mins.I have been given no instructions on how much I should rest ect. Could I be in a wheelchair by this summer? Also though my back hurts pretty bad while in bed once I sit up my back goes numb.Yesterday though it went numb all the way to my shoulder on the left side. Thank you

Smile Hello nosuchlogic!

Welcome to NT!

You've come to a great place for support!
I'm sorry you are having these back issues. I hope you will be able to get in to see a doctor sooner.
Make yourself right at home here. This is a very down-to-earth friendly place.
Darlene has pointed you to the Spinal forum. You'll get good feedback. Also, there is a lot of good information at the top portion of the forum when you get there called the 'stickies'.

It's great to have you!

Rae
