Hello forum group.I am new here, signed up today looking for some help following my wisdom teeth extraction.
I had my both of my lower wisdom teeth extracted almost 5 weeks ago and I am still having problems. The OS had sutured the right side and it became infected 3 weeks post op. He gave me an antibiotic and said to do peroxide/water rinses. I am still on soft foods, have some swelling. he says that the swelling will go down in 2 weeks and to contact him should I have further problems. He did an x-ray, which showed I have a bone fragment, but he said he does not want to open me back up, if he does not want to. He says he is hoping that it will reattach itself. How long does it take to heal? I wish I would have never had this surgery. I was not having any problems with these teeth, as I am 41, but they said I had a cyst (regular dental x-ray)-so was sent to OS on referral. I am not happy that once opened there was no cyst! Any help/advise would be great! Thank you. |
