Default Hi from Alexicat

Hello everyone! I am new here and wanted to say hello. I live with bipolar type 2, PTSD, fibromyalgia and inflammatory spondyloarthropathy. I am 42 and the mom to a 5 year old boy. I also have 4 cats and a dog. I am not currently working and am in the middle of a disability case. I was first diagnosed with bipolar disorder back in 1994 and have been mostly stable since 2001, with the exception of a recent set back caused by my pain medication. My pain conditions started shortly after my son was born. I hope I can learn from you all as well as be a resource. I have been through it all with my bipolar disorder, so please feel free to reach out to me if anyone has questions. Thanks!

Hello Alexicat,
Welcome to the NeuroTalk Support Groups!

You certainly have been dealing with a lot and I'm sure you will be able to find information and support here.

You may have found your way around already, but I'll post specific forums below that may be helpful for you.
I'm not sure if your spondyloarthropathy is an autoimmune disorder or not, so I posted that link just in case.
I wish you all the best and I hope you're able to get those pain meds sorted out so that you can feel better fast.

Bipolar Disorder Forum

PTSD Forum
There is also a PTSD sub-forum at PsychCentral.
The link is in the PTSD Forum here.

Autoimmune Diseases Forum

Spinal Disorders and Back Pain Forum

Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Forum

There are also forums for Chronic Pain, Medications and Treatments, Social Security Disability.
The best thing is to just have a look at the list.

take care there.
