Default New here tonight, Hi to all

Hi, my name is Cynthia and I've been having problems sleeping due to severe pain in both hands. A couple of months ago it was my feet. Sometimes it moves to my bad shoulder, if I lay on that side when going to sleep.
The best position I have found for sleeping is on either side with a pillow between my knees to keep my spine straight. And I don't *ever* rest on either hand as the pain will wake me up.

I've been reading some of the posts here and it sure sounds like I've written most of them. I didn't realize so many others suffered from this very inconvenient and painful disorder. I have RSD and also RA which has now moved to my left hand, elbow and shoulder.
With the RSD if I grip during the day or carry anything heavy, even for a short period of time, I suffer for it at night.

AH, the golden years.

Take care,
Cyn

Hi Cyn,
Welcome to the NeuroTalk Support Groups!

You may have found it already but here is the link for

RSD and CRPS Forum

Arthritis Forum

Just a thought...
it's not the same condition but considering the type of pain you have, you might actually find some helpful tips for sleeping in the Useful Links section of the TOS Forum

I'm sorry to read about your pain, but I hope you find support and information here to help you deal with that.
