Hi, my name is Cynthia and I've been having problems sleeping due to severe pain in both hands. A couple of months ago it was my feet. Sometimes it moves to my bad shoulder, if I lay on that side when going to sleep.
The best position I have found for sleeping is on either side with a pillow between my knees to keep my spine straight. And I don't *ever* rest on either hand as the pain will wake me up. I've been reading some of the posts here and it sure sounds like I've written most of them. I didn't realize so many others suffered from this very inconvenient and painful disorder. I have RSD and also RA which has now moved to my left hand, elbow and shoulder. With the RSD if I grip during the day or carry anything heavy, even for a short period of time, I suffer for it at night. AH, the golden years. ![]() Take care, Cyn |
