Confused Is it a mystery?

Hello, not sure how this sure works. But I really am running out of support and help. May 2014 I suffered for a month with a severe headache. This soon went and I haven't had a headache like that since. I was hospitalised with it too.
Since then I've been suffering with extreme neurological issues and I have had MRI a and other scans that seem to have come back normal. I'm under a neurologist aswell as my GP.
The symptoms I am having are: memory loss, lack of concentration, speech difficulties, balance troubles, tremors, muscle weakness on my left side. I zone out at times. I cannot grip well either. I get a few muscle twitches and sometimes pain in one leg, other days I may not be able to feel my legs. I work(ed) as a post lady. They have come to the point of giving me a special duty job untill I have to medically retire. These things are happening and are getting worse, yet I still have no diagnosis.
I had an eye rest recently too, and they have said there is nerve damage behind the eye causing double vision.
My neurologist said on referal it could be a nerve problem, where the signals are not working and that sometimes there isn't a cause for this.
Can anyone help me?

Do you know for sure what has been ruled out?
anything at all mentioned by doctors?

Are you on any medications?
Any family history of certain illnesses?

If your doctors are still stumped keep searching for better docs..

Thank you! Nothing has actually been ruled out. Only the fact it isn't something like a stroke or anything like that.
I take no medications
Nothing in the family neuro wise. My younger brother had meningitis as a kid but that's about as far as neuro goes. The neurologist is doing what he does, but unfortunately it's a 6month wait to see him. My GP is stumped as obviously neurologist I suppose knows better than him x

Have you tried any of those "check my symptoms" or symptoms checkers online?

It might help to narrow it down..
I suppose you had a complete blood work up?

I would be tempted to seek a naturopathic doc while waiting on the neuro appt..
Or acupuncture?
Possibly expert chiropractic if any accidents, falls or such ever happened previously..
I kind of prefer trying alternative care when possible...

Hey! Could I possibly ask what a naturopathic is please?
I have had incidents with my spine before due to a few accidents and work.. Could that cause all these symptoms? Thank you so much for listening!

I just think it is important to make sure the spine is in alignment, especially if there might be something misaligned.. then look for more answers as needed. Unfortunately doctors rarely suggest or consider that option..

Heart this is a wonderful place!

Hi R.louise, I'm pretty new here myself.
I have also been through almost exactly the same symptoms all at the same time. It took lots of work and lots of patience, but with me, it was a combination of, oh geez, thinking about putting it to words and the words go missing...
It was misplaced pain. I was in an immense amount of pain but my body and brain blocked it and it came out in a different way.
Weird, i know! But my point is, already there's someone who had had a similar experience, and there are many many more someones here. This place is all about understanding, support, and help.
Even though you are having an incredibly tough time, you came to a place that can help ease the toughness. I'm happy you joined and happy in knowing you will feel better from the wonderful hearts this site houses.
Stay strong and be happy, and feel very very welcome.

Heart

Wow. It's so nice to hear and see so much support. I'm 23, and have spent the majority of this year keeping this all a bit of a secret from people. I've told everyone now as I couldn't hide it. And the nice things yore all saying just warms my heart! It's lovely to know there's others in a similar situation.

UPDATE FROM THE GP:
It could be one of the unexplainable neurological thing, they said that's not saying it is nothing, but there is so many things they don't know about already. Apparently I could still be diagnosed with something.
In the mean time, whilst I wait for my next neurological appointment, ive been reffered to a psychologist. Apparently they will talk and help me to manage the symptoms I have to live day to day.

I would check into this--- low B12 levels. Doctors still use outdated lab ranges too, after testing, which go down to 200pg/ml. Some people get neurological symptoms when that low. So get tested and see where you are...discontinue vitamins 3-7 days before the test. You should be at 400pg/ml minimum and ideally much higher.

This is a video explaining what can happen if you are low and it is not discovered:

And this is our B12 thread:
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread85103.html

Best to check this and rule it out during your diagnostic process.
