Default Hi everyone... Allodynia, peripheral neuropathy, sciatica, etc PAIN !!

I have been suffering with chronic very bad neuropathic pain for quite a few years.
It encompasses the entire half of my body. The allodynia has spread and the pain gets overwhelming!

I have gotten side effects from so many meds and had to be weaned off of them. Alternative therapies don't help any more.

Before, I was active, very social, and very productive .
Since then, I have been very depressed, frustrated, isolated, dependent much more on my husband, and more.

My heart and prayers go out to each and every one of you here.

Hi VintageWine,

Know that you are not alone. Everyone here understands the tedium and frustration of dealing with chronic pain or illness. Not easy when you have been an active person. You will always find someone to throw you a lifeline when you need it, to commiserate with or get tips and encouragement from. Welcome to the gang and never give up on the potential for healing.

BTW, I left you a response on my ketamine thread. Feel free to PM me if I can answer anything.

Sending Healing Love, Littlepaw

Cool Smirk

Hi vintagewine,

I also answered your Post briefly on Littlepaw's Thread, but I will add to it for you here.

I have been taking Oral Ketamine for years, 30mg 3x a day, 60mg at night to help sleep. I can take up to 100mg, but pushing that brings the only other side effect I have (apart from tiredness), mild hallucinations - mainly vivid colours around the tv.

It is very effective in helping control burning Neuropathic Pain I have from Neurological Hypersensitivity (extreme allodynia), Neuropathic Facial Pain/Paresthesia and TN.

Along with Lidocaine Infusions, Ketamine is a great part of my pain management.

I must express my concern about your Depression. That in itself causes an increase in pain levels. Do you receive treatment, ADs or Counselling from a Condition Aware Therapist? Depression rarely goes away on it's own, and can spiral down into even more complex issues.

Dave.
