Default Hello, I'm new here and I have RSD.

I have been suffering with RSD of both lower legs and feet for about 13-14 yrs. I have a Neurostimulator which does help but the pain is getting much worse and it's hard to deal with day in and day out. I'm also on Fentanyl patch 100mg, Roxicodone 30mg, Zonegran 100mg and Cymbalta 60mg. Also Clonazepam when needed which is all the time from anxiety from the pain! I've read from some of you that Marijuana oil helps with the pain, so I had a friend who made me some cookies, and OMG what a difference in the pain relief! But unfortunately I live in Va. which it is illegal here. I believe that Maryland is the closest state that allows medical marijuana and if so, how can I get registered there so that I can get this amazing stuff? Does anyone happen to know this answer? I appreciate any help that anyone can give me because besides the pain, the depression is also kicking my butt!! Thank you so much! better health and Keep Smiling to everyone!

hello Turtle,

I don't know diddly about getting MM but I do know it takes incredible grit and determination to live with CRPS for over 13 years. Turtle, you are one tough bird! Please come see us on the CRPS forum. We have a wonderful bunch of members and it is a great place for sharing and support. I would encourage you too to get help with your depression. Let your doctor know how you are feeling in case any meds are contributing and need adjustment. It is not uncommon for depression to go hand in hand with chronic pain and illness and many of us have benefited from help with it. I found a therapist who specialized in it and she was instrumental in improving my ability to handle my pain and in grieving the losses it has brought. There is no need to go it alone.

Sending healing love,

Cool Smirk

Hi Turtle,

I second what Littlepaw says about Depression and the need for treatment as it goes hand in hand with Chronic Pain. There is also a proven physical action whereby Depression increases pain levels.

We are not a substitute for Therapy or medication if needed, but we understand being there and if you would like to air any issues just follow Lara's Links. Someone will always be around to listen.

Dave.
