Default My Arrival

Hello!

My name is Nicallette, or Nica for short. I'm currently twenty-two and I've been diagnosed with a few health conditions. EDS Type 3 Hypermobility, Sjogrens Syndrome, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Light Sensitivity, Acid Reflux, Anxiety, Nodules in my Thyroid, Upper Right Lung and Neck.

I'm thankful to be alive, though.

Hi Nica

Welcome to Neurotalk (NT). 22 is too young to be having to contend with so many conditions - most people here have taken years to accumulate theirs.

I hope you're getting the medical assistance you need from the professionals and NT is a great place to come and find support, info and advice.

Take time to browse the different forums - feel free to ask any questions you may be looking for answers to or to add posts to the threads.

If you need help finding a particular topic or getting around the site - again just ask - someone will be along to help.

What a pretty name.
Who calls you Nica and who calls you Nicallette?

Sorry for all you are enduring. It is rough for anyone but a young person, especially so.

There are supportive people on these forums. Jump around to various categories that interest you and when you tire of talking health issues there are forums for good old social chat like movies, books, tv shows and some for spiritual support, jokes, etc.,

Hope you find some useful support here.
Welcome, Diandra

Cool Smirk

Hi Nica,

I also think you have a lovely name.

I had to pop off and look up EDS Type3, and I was very sorry to read the list of symptoms you must be dealing with. I thought the RA at such a young age was bad enough.

As for your Anxiety, I had my first Panic Attack out of the blue in my early 20s, and have suffered Anxiety and Panic issues ever since. I have had years inbetween where I have kept it suppressed, bubbling under the surface with a mixture of meds and will-power.

You definitely have the right attitude in order to be able to cope with all Life throws at you, but our caring Community can certainly make things mentally less taxing. If you would like to talk about your Anxiety or Chronic Pain issues I will always be available.

Dave.

Welcome, Diandra
People on social media, my YouTube mainly, address me by Nica because Nicallette is difficult for a majority of them. My family calls me, Nikki, and my friends call me Nicallette.

Thank you for the support and warm welcoming!
