New on here and scared
Hi my name is Sarah, about five years ago I felt like I was walking on lumps and went for nerve tests in hospital where peripheral neuropathy was diagnosed. I couldn't feel the correct temperature in my feet until getting to the bottom of my calves, then it was ok. I was told the tight, numb feeling would most like be from pressure on the spinal cord. THERE WAS NO FOLLOW UP.
Over the past year the pain in my upper feet and toes is getting unbearable. My groin and right thigh pain is getting worse, the tight feeling feels like my feet and ankles are tightly bandaged and the stabbing pain on the top of my right foot behind the toes is so bad I cant kneel down. I get bad calf cramps if I try to point my toes and in reality my feet no longer feel like they belong to me-- in fact I'm so scared as my symptoms are escalating rapidly now. I eat very healthily and I'm not overweight.
I'm waiting for an MRI on my spine but no news yet.
What can I expect now? I don't know a single person with this disease, is there anyone on here who can advise please?
