Hi Rebecca

I hope that the meeting with your physician goes well.

My apologies if I have got this wrong but I have the impression that a health professional has removed fluid from your abdomen in the past. If I am right, this fluid is sometimes called ascites and it can accumulate in the abdomen (the peritoneal cavity) for many reasons.

I suggest that you ask your physician about this. One option (I am not meaning to second-guess your clinical care team) is to check out your liver function - this is something that you could discuss with your physician.

All the best.
