Hello I am new to this forum just wanted to introduce myself. I am trying to find out if anyone out there has had the same type of surgery that I have and can help me understand the recovery process.

I had a desmoid tumor on my ribs and had to have a chest wall resection surgery where the doc removed part of my 9th and 10th rib. In place of the hole where the ribs were he placed a cement wall which came loose 3 weeks after surgery so he replaced the cement wall with a mesh.

My first surgery was one month ago and the surgery to correct the failed cement was two weeks ago.

I basically want to know if anyone has had this type of surgery and if so how has your recovery been...what are you experiencing as far as pain or anything else. How long was the recovery. Did you have any nerve pain/damage.
