Default Hi everyone!

I have pretty bad tremors and shakiness on my left side and sometimes on my right. I take psych meds and that could be the cause, however the tremors got really bad recently leading up to a hospitalization. No changes in medications either. Also sometimes its difficult to get words or sentences out (something that is totally off for me) The neurologist at the hospital did a CT Scan and a MRI with and without contrast and say I am completely clear in the brain / neck. They don't know what it is. Needless to say I was sent home. No MS or Stroke detected they said, although I am weaker on my left side and sometimes I drag my left foot.

So the ordered an EMG which is supposed to be done on November 25th. I guess its an outpatient procedure. I don't know what it could be. My friend said it sounded like ALS, and that really freaked me out.

Anyways:
I'm 32 years old I live in Erie, PA. I love aviation, culinary arts and big rig trucks. I've lived everywhere it seems, both coasts, north and south.

Hi dillpickle,

Welcome to the NeuroTalk Support Groups.

It must be very concerning for you but try not to think of conditions like ALS as your friend has suggested.

Do you have the tremors more when you're resting or when you're moving or are they there all the time?

Medications - have you checked in the side-effect profiles of any medications you have been taking?

There is a
Movement Disorders Forum
Including essential tremor, dystonia and Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS).
