Hi Relief4pain

Welcome. I am sorry that you are having such troubles but glad that you found us.

I was on Lyrica as well and gained 30 lbs in two months. It seems to be a somewhat common side effect for some of the members here. Some others have had no problem with the drug. It can affect each individual differently.

Here is thread that talks about the effects of Lyrica

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/sh...ghlight=lyrica

Based on your weight gain I would ask your doc for a 2 hour glucose test to check your sugar. And if you are tyring to come off the drug please discuss with your doc because you need to titrate slowly off of it.

Hi relief and welcome to NeuroTalk.

I took paroxetine for a long time. Be very careful coming off of this stuff. For some it is really difficult. For me, nearly impossible. My doctor ended up weaning me for several months by using the liquid Paxil. I dropped 1 mg weekly until I could get off without severe withdrawal symptoms.

You'll get great support here.
