Hi, Brockie, and welcome.

That is very different, the way your dx came about. I had all the energy I needed. Not at all tired. Was limping a bit, but thought it was the result of past knee surgery. Not so. I have pd. I have to say, I'm still not too tired, except for an hour after last dose for the day of Requip. I hope they come up with a cure or a better way to manage symptoms soon. Anyway, welcome, Brockie.

Bill Gates, if you are already giving to the cause of Parkinson's, thank you.

Hiya, Brockie!

Welcome to NeuroTalk! Sorry to hear about the PD but glad you found us and hope you'll find a supportive, good feeling around here.

There is a forum dedicated to PD down a bit on the main forums page. Look around and if you need anything, do let us know!

Hello Brockie, welcome to NT! I'm so glad you found us, I just wish you didn't have to be here in the first place.

Here's a link to the PD forum : http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forumdisplay.php?f=34

I'm sure you'll find all the info you need there... as well as the emotional support that is so very important. It's wonderful having people to talk to that know exactly what you are going through.

Don't forget to check out the fun forums too! We have Social Chat (which also has a sub-category of yummy recipes), Pets, Creative Corner for the artistic side of you, etc. NT is a lot more than just a disease forum, it's a family too.
