Default Newbie with OA, Hashi's and ???

Hi, I had to bypass the intro real quick because I found this site from a search about myasthenia gravis. I was tested and it came back positive yet the neurologist and physiatrist say my nerves are healthy. I just posted in the MG forum here with my main question.

Well, I know my nerves aren't OK, dispite the medical experts opinions But, I did finally get one good diagnosis which was, I have anti-bodies for Hashimoto's thyroid disease. I've just started on Synthroid. The NP I'm seeing is great, she let me choose the type of RX and how I want to approach my treatment (slowly and surely).

My main complaint was extreme loss of arm muscular endurance. I'm still strong but I can't sustain movement for more than about 30 seconds. Sure I can bench press 30 pound dumbells but I can't spray my birds with a water mister for more than 30 seconds Can't wash my hair or swim without difficulty either. I also have general fatigue and other Hashi symptoms. But, the arm thing was what sent me looking for answers.

I also was born with shallow hip sockets which weren't noticed until I was 50 (4 years ago) I guess I got lucky with that one, many women have problems much younger with hip dysplasia. I'm looking at hip resurfacing sometime in the next couple of years. I found a great surgeon near me. I was considering traveling to India or Belgium where the 'new' procedure (in the US) has been successful for a decade now.

I have really stiff joints too. A chiropractor thought I may have ankylosing spondilitis but no one's checked for that yet. PT helps my neck a lot but I need to keep going back.

So now that I'm through with the peri menopause roller coaster ride, here I am on the other side, waiting to see what surprizes await me!

Nice site BTW, I need to look around a bit now...
