Hi Andy and Welcome!

I can't help you w/your questions, but my son had a large Polinidal Cyst that forced him to have surgery to correct. Take care and glad to have you w/us.....

Hi Andy and !!

I have a niece that was diagnosed with Dandy Walker while she was in the womb... so far so good... she's a wonderful girl.

I've done some reading about this and found that many adults have Dandy Walker since birth and never know it until something happens.

I look forward to seeing you around the boards!!

Hi Abbie,

Thanks! My neurosurgeon said it is really rare to be affected by it as an
adult, and they/he have no clue why all of a sudden. It all happened while
I was spending a week at Lake Tahoe. I was staying at a resort that is
at 8500 ft altitude, I live at just above sea level. His guess is that maybe
the sustained altitude just pushed me brain over the edge.... who knows..

Glad your niece is doing well, she'll be just fine.

Thanks again for the welcome!

Hi Jaime,

Your the only other person that I know of that has the wonderful
Arachnoid Cyst... Have you ever met anyone else..

My neurosurgeon, who is in the bay area, said I'm patient number 3
for his entire career... He was all excited when he saw my MRI,
couldn't wait to put the shunt in...
