Default Hello I am new here

I currently started looking for groups after my depression started to worsen. Since I was diagnosed with CRPS I have been depressed trying to shut myself off from the world because of the things I cant do that I could be able to before. My therapist recommend finding a group to further help me showing me I am not alone in this. I live in pain every day all day and honest l need support.

Default I'm new too

Hey- I'm also new and trying to figure out how to navigate this site.
I know that I relate with the worsening depression as well. I've tried some FB groups but it was just too overwhelming.
It's hard when. The world doesn't understand that you're in constant, excruciating pain and normal for others is impossible for you. But, that's why we are here. I'm glad you are in therapy. Have you done CBT? I did extensive CBT (3 hrs/week) for 3 weeks and it helped a ton. It's not a cure all, and I could do it again now, but therapy wise it was great. Do you take any depression medication? There are some that are helpful with chronic pain- it took me years of trial and error just to learn that prozac was my cup of tea. Just curious- you don't have to share more than you're comfortable with

Welcome to the community.

I have used CBT which, in the of a skilled therapist, has helped me a lot.

Best wishes.
