I am a 74 yr old woman living in NZ. I as diagnosed with transient epileptic amnesia 2 yrs ago. I am taking Levitiracetam and it seems to be keeping attacks at bay but I do seem to have side effects. I have lost a lot of weight which I can ill afford, Have an itchy, rash on my trunk, and my eyesight seems compromised. I can't find anybody else with same condition so would really welcome any communication that could enlighten me further.

Welcome, mclean!
![]() According to the information at drugs.com, levetiracetam can cause all of the side effects you mention. Levetiracetam Side Effects: Common, Severe, Long Term - Drugs.com You and your doctor might want to reduce the dosage. That's often a good way to go.
