Yes, you're doing this right--this is usually the first stop for new people.

We have many boards, though, for specific neurological conditinos, where there are many sufferers and much expertise. Come on over to the peripheral neuropathy board:

--and tellus about your mother--her symptoms, any testing, diagnoses, medications she's on . . .you'll be surprised at how much you can find out. (There's also a lot of reading material you can peruse.)
