I am a single mom of 2 girls that are 20 years old. One is my biological daughter and the other is a good friend of hers that grew up in the foster care system, and considers me the closest she has to a mom. They both make my heart smile and are growing into wonderful self-reliant women. I am one proud mom.
I am dating a man with Cerebral Palsy. He is a licensed minister. The second one is more daunting than the first. We will be getting married when we can afford to live on our own. I am an IT student and that is where I came to notice some difficulties with school. I was having problems remembering where different unconventional icons were located. I also started noticing that I was having problems paying attention in class. I also was noticed that I was having moments where I would almost pass out. This was happening more often to the point where it was happening while I was driving and that's when I really knew that there was a need for immediate medical intervention. I was dropped on my head when I was around 2 years old, on a hardwood floor. I also hit the back of my skull on a breakfast bar when I was 18 years old. I am very interested in Post Concussion Syndrome because this appears to be probably what is happening here. I am under the care of a neurologist. She has already diagnosed me with very high functioning ADD. This means that I am able to still work and the ADD doesn't hold me back much. I have even learned how to use it to my advantage with multitasking. We are still trying to figure out what is wrong and if it is because of my previous concussions. I have many questions about what I am going through. I am so glad to find this site and hope that I can find answers and support. |
