Smile Hello to everybody

Just a few words to introduce myself.
I am a man, aged 68, lives in France, and was diagnosed with MG last June with ocular disorders, arm and neck weakness, chewing and swallowing difficulties. EMG and antibodies anti-AChR were positive.
I am treated with Mestinon (5 x 80 mg/day + 1 x 180 mg delayed), 75 mg of prednisone for 74 kg and 4 x 500 mg of Cellcept since August 31.
I had also 2 cures of IVIg without much effect.
The only improvement has been the disappearance of double-vision and eye-lid ptosis.
I have been told that steroïds take at least 2 to 3 months to act positively (if they act…), so I'm waiting…

Hi Neutro, bonjour.

You're living in France, but I am not sure if you are a Frenchman.

Anyway, since you are there, you could try and contact this person: Robert Masson. He is a naturopath, currently living in Meudon. I think he also has a consultation office in Paris. I can't give you his website, because they don't allow you to mention commercial sites on here, and that's ok, but I don't think you will have much difficulty locating him.

Good luck.

José

Thanks for the tip, José!
In fact, I'm Belgian but have been living in France since 27 years, 10 years in Belgium, 2 years in the States (Pittsburgh, Pa) and 5 years in Central Africa just after my graduation.
I'm followed in a MG specialized unit in a neurological hospital in Lyons, so far, so good…but the improvement is still to come!
How did you come across this naturopath?

Hi

I found him through his books first. Then I translated one of them into Portuguese. I once met him in Paris. He must be about your age now, maybe a little older. He has a website. If you have any faith in naturopathy, you could look him up. I think he is a very positive man, though maybe a little edgy, like many Frenchmen, anyway.

Good luck with your treatment.
José
