Default Hi

Hello, this is my first time posting anyting on a forum, I hope that I am doing this right.

My daughter is a miracle in every sense of the word!!! She was born at 30 weeks, suffered from collapsed lungs, bilateral chest tubes, hydrpcephalus and eventually had a VP shunt inserted...Is there anyone else that is dealing with a child in a similar situation on this site?? She is 6 1/2 months old now (4 months corrected age) and eating well and very bright, on the petite side and my main concern is her development she had a lot of pressure to the parts of the brain that control her arms and specifically her legs...she has a great team of O/T, P/T S/T and pead. neoro doc following her but all this "let's just wait and see or time will tell us more" is litterally giving me nightmares!!! Of course I know some day she will need to have a new shunt put in and that keeps me awake as well...how long will it be??

Anyways that is enough ranting for now...I realize everyone has their own issues to keep them up at night, thanks for the ear!!

PS Our little Angel really is a gem!!!
