Default Hello Everyone~

I'm interested in this group because I'm in pain every day and every night and I don't understand why.I'm hoping I can get some answers from someone in this community.I'd really appreciate that...the pain is all parts of my body,I can't sleep at night because the pain is starting at the top of m foot, then goes up to my knee's on both sides at the same time. Also my left upper arm has extreme pain a lot.I get sore from the pain, also when I get up to walk the pain is so bad,my feet are stiff and hurt so bad I can't hardly walk. Can anyone help me,I can't afford insurance right now...Don't know what to do at all...THANK YOU

Hello,
Have you read about fibromyalgia?
Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue
Fibromyalgia syndrome is a widespread musculoskeletal pain and fatigue disorder which generally occurs in the muscles, ligaments, and tendons – the soft fibrous tissues in the body. This forum is for fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Immune Deficiency Syndrome (CFS/CFIDS).
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum12.html

or Peripheral Neuropathy
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread177.html

Is it burning pain, throbbing pain, deep aching pain, constant or fluctuates- worse after use?
If you can describe more details it could help us to better point you in a direction as far as what to research. Have you ever had any injuries that might have brought these pains on?

Are there any clinics or low income health plans in your area?
Check your state? website {if in USA}or your local government website.

Default Hi Mommy

What was your diagnosis? Have you been to the Dr? I have Fibromyalgia and was taking Doxepin for it then this stupid back thing happened and sort of shifted my priorities. Kind of like having a headache then hitting your thumb wiith a hammer, you know. Im doing biofeedback that helps when I think Im loosing it. What are you doing?

Heart

Hi there,
I am so sorry about everything that you are going through ((hugs))
My name is Alison, I am 12 years old and I suffer from Complex Regional Pain Syndrome which is a chronic pain syndrome. What sort of pain are you getting? Are you getting any burning pains, sharp, shooting, aching pains. If so it could be RSD/CRPS. Have you seen a neurologist, PM doctor etc? if so what did they say?

WELCOME TO NEUROTALK, YOU WILL FIND MANY CARING AND SUPPORTIVE PEOPLE HERE.
Thanx
Alison

WELCOME TO THE GANG MOMMY56!
I HAD A LOT OF THOUGHTS WHEN READING ABOUT YOUR PAIN BUT UNTIL YOU GO GET A DOC TO LOOK AT YOU, IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO KNOW JUST WHAT'S GOING ON.

YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE HANDY A COMPLETE FAMILY MEDICAL HISTORY AS SOME FAIRLY OBSCURE MALADIES CAN BE MORE EASILY DIAGNOSED IF THERE'S A KNOWN HISTORY. PAIN IS ONE OF THOSE THINGS THAT'S VERY TOUGH TO PIN DOWN IN MANY CASES. TRY & DESCRIBE EXACTLY HOW IT FEELS, WHEN IT HURTS MOST, WHETHER IT KEEPS YOU UP, ANY INJURIES OR ILLNESSES YOU'VE SUSTAINED OVER THE YEARS & SO ON.
I AM WELL ACQUAINTED WITH PAIN & HAVE HURT SINCE EARLY CHILDHOOD & IT WAS FIRST ATTRIBUTED TO GROWING PAINS...BUT IT WAS NOT GROWING PAINS. IT WAS ARTHRITIS AND FIBROMYALGIA & AUTO-IMMUNE ATTACKS & COLD INTOLERANCE...HORMONES PLAYED A PART AS WELL. I HAVE FOUND THAT CERTAIN TYPES OF MY PAIN HAVE BEEN ELIMINATED COMPLETELY DUE TO DIETARY CHANGES.
PROCESSED MEATS WITH NITRATES & NITRITES & OTHER NASTY CHEMICALS & PRESERVATIVES, PROCESSED SANDWICH MEATS, HOT DOGS, BACON, CHICKEN, PORK, BEEF....THEY ALL CAUSED MY JOINTS TO SWELL & HAVE PAIN IN THEM LIKE A KILLER TOOTHACHE. MY FINGER JOINTS WOULD GET CROOKED AND MY KNEES WOULD LOCK UP IN BED WHILE THEY WERE BENT SO IF I TRIED TO STRAIGHTEN THEM I'D SCREAM IN AGONY....THE KNEES ARE STILL REALLY BAD BUT NOT THE SAME KINDA PAIN ANYMORE AFTER ELIMINATING THE MEATS. I OCCASIONALLY EAT ORGANIC CHICKEN BUT STILL CAN TELL IT SOMEWHAT IN MY JOINTS...TURKEY DOESN'T SEEM TO BOTHER MY JOINTS.
THE FIBRO....OYY YOU NEED TO GET THE ALL-OVER-BODY INFLAMMATION DOWN TO GET RELIEF.
PLEASE GO TO A DOC & EXPLAIN YOUR FINANCIAL CIRCUMSTANCES....THERE MAY BE HELP FOR YOU IN THE FORM OF PROGRAMS, PUBLIC ASSISTANCE, OR SOMETHING AND IF NOT, YOU MAY BE ABLE TO SET UP SMALL PAYMENTS. IF YOU HAVE A CREDIT CARD YOU COULD CHARGE SOME MEDIAL STUFF ON IT & MAKE PAYMENTS. IF YOUR DOC THINKS YOUR PAIN IS DEBILITATING OR YOU FIND YOU HAVE A DISEASE OF SOME KIND YOU MAY QUALIFY FOR DISABILITY OR SSI.
PLEASE GO TO A DOC!!!!! BELIEVE ME, I KNOW FROM POOR! BEEN THERE, AM THERE, DONE THAT! LOL!!! BUTCHER HEALTH COMES FIRST AND I WANNA HEAR FROM YA THAT YA WENT SO YOU CAN GET SOME R E L I E F!!!!!! DON'T SWEAT THE MONEY!!! YOUR HEALTH IS PRICELESS & SO ARE YOU!!!!!
KEEPIN YA IN MY PRAYERS!!!
HUGS
CRITTER
