Default A Great Welcome

I love your welcome sign, Mary Ann. All of you that have written have made me feel very welcome here. Thank you. I got the results of my upper GI day before yesterday. I have early Barrett's disease that is caused by the GERD and Hiatal Hernia. They have changed my meds from Prelosic to Premarin and taken me off the inflamatories and related meds; and monitoring me for a month to see if the bleeding stops. I am relieved to finally have a name to what is happening and to know it is being treated. Meds are contrary, however; we are finding. They help one thing while causing a reaction that is harmful somewhere else. My daughter almost died in November with Encephalitis Meningitis while working in another state. I am caring for her as she recovers. She forgot to take her med for depression and spun out on us with tremors, suicidal thoughts, and irritability. We read her papers about her med today and saw that those are side effects with certain people; and that she shouldn't come off the meds without her doctor's advise. I take Cymbalta which has simular symtoms and instructions. So far I am one of the people that can take Cym without the serious side effects. We all learn as we experience life's challenges and tragedies. A tragedy is often a gift in disguise and all life experience is food for the soul's growth. May the Blessings Be.

Lynda

Hi Lynda!! I feel really bad for you. I also suffer from FM and have to be careful of what to take. So many things bother my stomach also.

Barb said it quite well in her post. FM is so unpredictable. When the barometer changes, I flare BIG time. It's just something that we have to try to live w/every day. I take EffexorXR and it helps, but also have Tramadol to take the edge off when the pain is escalating.

Take care and hope you get some relief.[/QUOTE]
