Default Hi, New Here, waiting for pain pump, scared & full of questions

Hi, yes waiting for insurance to ok my pain pump and getting more nervous by the day. Have had 5 back surgeries over 15 yrs 3 within the past 6. I've been told that there can be no more surgeries for me as it will only cause me "more harm than help", I have also been told by several reputable neurosurgeons I need a New back! getting. I get these attacks I call them of nerve spasms in my right leg, they last 24/7 and nearly 2 to 2-1/2 weeks, the pain in indescribeable, my current meds and patches don't even come close, I am literally terrified of getting a new attack before I can get the pump. I would like to know the most if anyone has had the pump help nerve pain? It is also a terrifying experience to know that no surgery can help me. I have alot of nerve damage in my legs, the right the worst, it is a bad case of spinal stenois gone on way to far, the nerve roots are literally being choked. I am 58 yrs young, just wish I felt like it. No, that was wrong I must think positive and so should all of you right? Thanks for any help. Bobbi
