Hi there Merf:

I know about the Sciatica. Lord, I thought I would go crazy when I had bouts of that. Put me on the couch for two weeks straight. This was in 1995 and my mom and dad were both in the hospital in another state and I had to communicate with everybody only by phone.

The pain?? Well, it's 13 years later, and I'll never forget those two weeks. Oh, I've had bouts since then, BAD bouts. I've had degenerative joint disease for 20 years. But nothing compared to that day in 1995 when I couldn't get up off the couch.

My aunt told me "Melody, as it comes, so it will go". I never understood what the heck she meant, but she knew her stuff. It did subside.

I did the hot packs, the rubs, the soaks, the pain pills. Whatever inflamed me, well, it must have stop inflaming me, because "knock wood", I haven't had a bad sciatica attack in years.

Oh I have other stuff going on, but hey, I'm 60, and I'm happy to get up in the morning.

So welcome to our little Neurotalk!!!

Take care,
