Hello up there!

I grew up in MN and quite frankly, I miss it alot. I've lived in the suburbs of Minnetonka, Edina and Hopkins. I miss the lakes, hills and the free music at Lake Calhoun (amongst many other things). I don't miss the winters though, they can be brutal. I still have many friends up there that I talk too on a regular basis. I live in NW Indiana where it's flat, gray and very boring. I didn't move here by choice and I'd give almost anything to move back.

I have heard that it's become very expensive to live there since I left. I remember apartments for rent at $360.00 a month, and very nice ones at that...lol. I can only imagine the prices now for rent or homes.

I also remember a drive of no more than 15 minutes to go almost anywhere. Now I 've heard the traffic is just as bad as any major city.

I'd still go back, it's so beautifull there.(missing Lake of the Isles)

Good luck and keep warm....*jealous*

Hi and welcome from a fellow freezer-burned Minnesotan! Sometimes I'm not sure if the numbness is from MS or the cold..
Glad you found us!
