Default Rsd

I came across this web site by accident, I am so glad I did. I haven't ever written on my problems before, so I am a bit unsure what to put.

It has been very interesting reading, I have felt so alone over the past 2 1/2 years, with very mixed feelings. Just knowing that there are over people that have suffered the same problems, helps me to know that they do exist.

2 1/2 years ago I had an attempted routine venepuncture in my right arm, I believe the needle hit the median nerve. The pain was unbelievable, it felt as as if needles were put down each of my fingers, I had tingling in the forearm, and was in so much pain. Over the months, I was told that it would get better, I have seen many Consultants, and advice from many people. It has not got better, over the last 9 months, it has spread to my shoulder, and underarm, and side. There are so many different types of pain, many of them expressed by Annie Poo.

About 3 or 4 times per day, I get a feeling of a wasp sting on different parts of my body, some my foot, or leg or side of face. I wondered if any body else suffers with this. If I press into the spot, it normally passes within a couple of minutes.

I also still a psychologist at the moment, I am not sure its helping, I haven't been seeing him very long. I have a very good physiotherapist, who I see on a regular basis. I would be interested to know how often other people see their physio. I never know if I see her too much or too little. All I know is that it helps.

Take care everyone

One big, warm, tight, hug, handshake and howdy, moose-size official type welcome to the site. This place is amazing!

And you just gave me more proof there are no "accidents".

Have you seen a nuerologist yet? And are you keeping a journal? I know both of those help me. Either way, I hope you find the relief you need soon.

You are not alone.
You are one of us.
And we are here to help.

[QUOTE=MooseasaurusRex;230823]
[Hi, Thank you for your reply, i am still finding my away around site. I have never discussed complaint with anybody outside the medical profession. I have seen many doctors and consultants, when it first happened, I was told it would get better in nine months. That was 2 1/2 years ago!!!!!
