I too have Fibro. Was diagnosed with it around the same time as I ended up with RSD and TOS. I also have Degenerative disc disease, osteo, and I suffer from panic attacks also. My first one was in a grocery store around here after that I had them all of the time. I had them under control until last year when I had an implant put in for depression and now they are back.
For the Fibro, you need to see a Rhematologist and maybe get triggerpoint injections in your neck and different pain places. They use lidocaine, some use steroids. I would suggest the lidocaine though. It's a matter of finding the right Dr. that knows what you have and how to take care of it. I am glad you found the group and you will learn a lot about the Fibro. And learning about what you have is the main thing to help yourself get better. Ada |

Hi Fiona and Welcome to NeuroTalk. Sorry to hear your'e having such a rough time of it, but I agree w/Ada in finding the "right" Dri for your problems. I also have FM and have a wonderful Rheumatologist who specializes in the tx of FM.
He also sent me for MRI's etc b/c of back pain and I'm now seeing a Spine Spec for that. So, the correct Dr for specific problem areas can be a great help. Good luck and I do hope you can get some relief soon. Please take a look around here and make yourself at home. ![]()
