Hi. My name is Randi and I have been married for 12 years with an 8 year old son who is WONDERFUL. I could not ask for a better child and I mean that honestly. I have pseudotumor cerebri, possible tia's and there is no telling what else. All I know is I have frontal lobe damage without the usual reasons why. I am just looking for answers and after 5 years am really tired of testing and being told, "I am not really sure what is wrong, but there is definately something wrong neurological wrong". I also have DJD and optic nerve damage from the increased spinal fluid pressure. Oh, did I mention I was only 37? One day I was walking fine with a walker and then the next day I cannot use my legs. Any suggestions? Do I just give up and live with what I've got or do I continue the tests and everything else they are putting me through? I don't mean to be a downer, I really am good spirited but just get frustated. If anyone has any suggestions, please email me at catlady@gig-gamers.com
Thanks for listening. |

Hi and welcome to NeuroTalk! I looked on your profile and saw that you also listed Fibro as one of the conditions you live with. I've posted the link to that forum here in case you haven't already visited there.
To be honest I wasn't sure which forum to direct you to for the pseudotumor cerebri. Someone with more knowledge about this than I have will come along and direct you to the proper forum. There's always someone here who can relate to and/or help everyone who comes here looking for help and answers. That's one thing you'll find out quickly about NeuroTalk.....there are lots of terrific people here who are genuinely compassionate and caring. You sound like you already have a great attitude - and that's a huge part of the equation. So glad you decided to join us here. http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum12.html ![]()

Hello Randi and welcome to NeuroTalk. Don't apologise for feeling like you do, because with all that's happening in your life right now, you have every right to be feeling a little down.
For other members, pseudotumor cerebri is benign intercranial hypertension. I assume that you get nasty headaches at times with that one Randi, and we do have a forum just for headaches that you may find helpful. Here's the link: http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum32.html I know a bit about TIA's as well because my husband had one a few years ago, so I'll give you the link to our Stroke Forum as you might find a bit more information from the people over there. http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum23.html ![]()

Hi, Randi!
![]() Most of us here have been down the frustrating road of seeking answers for peculiar symptoms. Koala gave you some good starting points and I hope you'll find them useful. We also have a search engine located in the toolbar near the top of every page, it will help you locate discussions about specific symptoms or conditions. Feel free to join in anywhere and spread some of that wonderful inner strength of yours. ![]()
