Hi Dew:

What stuck out from your post was the following:

"On 12/11/07, Oklahoma had icy storms, and once the ice began to melt, there was a roof leak over the cash register/computer system at the store. I reported the leak immediately to POS,and Corp. demand that I move the heavy, expensive, equipment, immediately. I told my supervisor and POS that I was not able to move the mechanism alone, that I was concerned about the possibility of being re-injured. I was told that if i didn't move the reg/computer, I would be terminated, as the equipment is very expensive and I am on work relase from the first injury. I attempted to call in my part-timers;however, to no avail"

The fact that you told your supervisor that you had an injury and he/she demanded that you move heavy machinery, well, in my opinion, this person is the reason that you re-injured your body. Are you taking this supervisor to court?? What did your lawyer say about this??

This whole thing sucks. I hope you get compensated and that the person who told you to lift the heavy machinery or you would be fired....well I hope that THEY GET FIRED!!!

I don't think they had the right to do this.

What have you been told on this??

Melody

Wow, what a story. I've had RSD for over a year now and continue with therapy and will have a plate removal surgery in 2 weeks. Luckily my injury was not job related and my school insurance (Blue Cross/Blue Shield) has been great about payng so far. Hang in there. Every case is different from what I've seen. This is a great site for information. I'd never heard of RSD until diagnosed- luckily very quickly. I'm a good listener, so let me know if you need to vent. I'm a little older than you and have just experienced the wonders of an empty nest this past year! God bless y0ou. Susie
