Default Hello everyone

Hi there;
Erm I'd better introduce myself
I'm 51, have suffered from depression for years and was finally diagnosed as having borderline personality disorder a few years back (although, apart from the very occasional bout of minor self-harm it manifests more like bipolar).
I also have fibromyalgia, and the brain-fog caused by that, possibly in connection with the various meds I'm on, leads to my getting easily confused, having episodes of short-term memory loss, and chronic fatigue. I'm also hypermobile and have started developing osteoarthritis.
I've recently started group therapy for the mental health stuff; it's early days but seems to be helping.
Just to add to the "tale of woe" I noticed last year that I was having problems with my eyesight, although the standard tests came out normal for me (my eyeglass prescription was OK). Eventually I had a visual field test which showed up a loss of vision in the upper left quadrant of both eyes: subsequent MRI revealed an unruptured aneurysm. I'm now waiting to see a neurosurgeon (hopefully in November) to "discuss treatment options".
Oh dear, I do sound like a miserable so-&-so, don't I? I'm not really; one advantage of the dissociative amnesia/short-term memory loss is that I can forget most of this for a good part of the time
Erm... oh yes, I live in the UK, have a dysfunctional husband (), a *cat1, and a much-loved daughter who leaves for university next week

Hello Beth and Welcome to NeuroTalk. I'm really glad you found us, as you'll find a great group of people here, who are genuine and caring. I also suffer from Fibro, as well as a few other "fun" things, so can understand some of what you are experiencing.

Please take a look around and join in anywhere.
