Frown Hello. My name is Jess and I am new from North Carolina and have Nerve Pain.

Hii there
I am trying to sit a bit and type this message, although it is tough. I have Pudendal Neuralgia and sitting is just momentary. I just turned 40 this summer, and I live in Charlotte, NC. I am/was a hiker, biker, rock climber, runner, and musician. I play and teach guitar, although I haven't been able to work for several months.
My scenerio begins in July when I had a CT scan to find a burst cyst. I was in alot of pain. I thought the pain would go away and then I would be back to normal. A few weeks later, the pain was so severe, I was in the ER 4 times as a result, trying to find out what was wrong. I had been to GPs, GI docts, Gynes and had xrays, ekg, ultrasounds, pelvic exams, MRi and CT scans. The Gi doc did I upper GI and I had acid relux and I also had colon spasms so I was given drugs for that. All along I have had burning in the vaginal area, feelinglike it was on fire. No UTI, no infections... blah blah, finally referred to a Neurologist who thinks nerve pain.. pudendal. So I get some Neurontin prescribed. I am on only 900mg, and it is not working just yet, so I may get a higher dose. I have some Oxycodone I am taking for breakthrough pain, but my GP doesnt want to refer me to a Pain Management Dr.. he thinks I would become addicted? That is the run down.
I have not been able to teach guitar and am worried I wont have a business after this. I am glad to have found this board, and hope that I can contribute. I find it does help to express your feelings and talk to others.
thank you

Thank you! I do feel better being able to talk to people. It is some kind of relief. Not physical, but psychological relief for me. I imagine it is for most. I do this, and keep a daily diary of my feelings, pain level, how meds work etc..
