Hi,
I am not sure what is going on with me, I retain my pCO2 , when tested with ABG, also done sleep studies, 3rd one they put me on a bi-pap machine. I still have vsion problems that come and go, like a blurry vision , confusion feeling, lightheaed, what I call a brain fog type feeling. Needles & pins feelings that started in my feet & toes, burning sensation, also cold, sweaty feeling, now has gone all the way up my legs to groin area. No one seems to be able to tell me what is causing this. I have done some research online, but there is so much out there and can't seem to narrow it down to one thing. I have read about pressure on the optical nerve, also lack of oxygen in the spinal cord, which can cause the numbness , tingling, burning, coldness in my legs and feet. Anyone have any of these symptoms or suggestions of what it is? I have a neuro appt next Mon, but this is getting worse by the day and I feel so bad. Also last couple of days chest pain too, but have had my heart tested in hospital and they say all is fine. Debb |

Hi! The bad thing is that you are feeling so poorly, with pains, pins and needles sensation, vision problems. The good thing is that you have an appointment with the neurologist. He can make sense of all those symptoms and advise you.
I am glad that your heart is fine. (It is just scary to feel anything around the heart area, I bet!) Going to your neurologist is the very first step. Don't hesitate to tell him/her of all your symptoms. He will understand! He might send you for an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging). The name may sound imposing but it is just that we now have fancy technology to 'see' what is happening inside of people. He may or may not send you for an MRI . I don't know! (Big surprise ! ![]() Take it easy this week and good luck! |

Thanks for the reply. I just got out of the hospital yesterday, went to urgent care on Tues, ended up in the ER and admitted . Because I had chest pain, they ran heart tests, EKG, heart monitor, echocardigram, stress test, then did an upper Endoscopy. Found out I had Barretts, recommended staying on my prilosec, it's healed but has some changes that need to be checked on to make sure no pre-cancerous growth show up. Bad part is they released me with no answers for my dizziness, vision problems, head pain-pressure feelings and this brain fog as I call it. They gave me some pills for dizziness, but all it did was make me sleepy. I don't need pills to cover up my symptoms, I want answers !! Still have the tingling, numbness in my feet and legs, now traveling up to my groin. I do have an appt on Monday with a neuro doc, hope she will run some tests to try and figure out what is going on with me, first neuro I saw never figured it out, sent me home with no answers. They have me on a bi-pap machine now, been about a month, have had some problems adapting to get a mask that fit and I could tolerate, fun, fun. The pressure is pretty high, guess I am not used to breathing so deep and as often. I don't get rid of my pCO2 with normal breathing. Anyone have any of these problems or suggestions?? Thanks, Debb |
