Default Howdy

Howdy all. A friend of mine sent me the link to this site. And after the site was so gracious to let me see what it was all about. I decided I needed to register. And I know I'm going to be glad I did. We all need a place like this to be able to come in and know we're not alone. To know we don't need to explain things. It's understood. And that feel's fantabulistic! I'm looking forward to all the good things that come from a site like this.
My RSD is the result of a simple work related injury. I say simple because all I did was fall. Right on my rear end. I was a little sore, but didn't feel that hurt. 10 day's later. OMGosh. I could hardly get up, walk, sit. What I did do really well then, was cry. I have never in my life had so much pain. My pain is mainly in my rear end. Yes, I am that joke you heard about. A literal pain in the rear. (LOL) Go ahead and laugh. It was meant for a few giggles. Mainly, my RSD effects the left side. I have all the symptoms on the right side as well. Just not as dark of a wonderful shade of plum red. I realize to some, I am quite new in this situation. And I don't mean to make light of anyone's situation. It's just that in my life. I must keep laughing. I must keep looking up. I must keep smiling. Dispite how I may feel. Thank you all for being here.

Howdy, Fireball! It's good to meet you! I'm glad you found our corner fo the net. Fantabulistic? My girls would love that word! That's a hobby of theirs, to combine words into one new one. lol I hope you really like it here, and decide to stay. I'm going to provide a link to the RSD Forum, in case you would like to check that out. Good luck and best wishes, Fireball...

Heart

Hello and Welcome to Neurotalk Fireball!!! It's great to have you here with us and you will meet many great people who I am sure will try their very best to help you in anyway they possibly can!!!

I'm so sorry to hear that you suffer from RSD too!! I really hope that you can find something that will help you and ease your pain and symptoms real soon!!

I suffer from RSD also. I have it in my left leg and both arms. I developed it when I was just 12 years old after I fell and sprained my ankle and am now 14. I have tried all sorts to try and put it into remission but nothing has worked really - the only med that helps me is Ketamine but my doctor doesnt like me taking it too much because of my age as he feels it could affect my hormones etc.

If you need anything, please dont hesitate to ask - I am more than happy to help you in anyway I possibly can because I DO understand some of what you are going through!! I have RSD in my left leg and that makes sitting down really hard so I cant imagine what it is like having it in your bottom!!!

Take care of yourself and I hope to see you around this great forum soon!!

Alison

Hi Fireball, and welcome to NeuroTalk!

I can see that you found out what a great place this is. I love it here. There are so many forums and groups, loads of friendly and caring people, even games to take your mind off your problems and have some fun.

I don't have RSD, but please feel free to PM me if you ever just need to talk.
